Take the “20 for 20 Challenge”

Monday, August 18th, 2008

Over the last few years, the citizens of Michigan’s First Congressional District have been struggling with anxiety wondering what will tomorrow bring as our government and our culture move in a direction that is worrisome and destructive.  We are frustrated because the first district is losing and being left behind in a world that is becoming more advanced in technology and also expanding with opportunities for economic growth and cultural experiences.  And with Congress being in a lame duck condition, we have been robbed of our security and our peace of mind.

WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!  I would like to take the opportunity to encourage ALL of the citizens in Michigan’s first district to get and be engaged with our community and support Tom Casperson for Congress.  Recently his campaign has issued a “20 for 20 Challenge.”  This is an easy and fun activity that everyone in Michigan can participate in.  To accept this challenge, all we have to do is find 20 people to donate $20 dollars each.   Twenty dollars can buy six bridge passes, almost 15 yard signs, and about two radio ads.  And it can help Tom and all of the district win in the upcoming election.  If all of us were to tap into our work places, our churches, community organizations that we volunteer for, our friends and our families, we could easily raise a lot of dollars for Tom’s campaign and help him share his message of transformation.  With Tom as our Congressman, we can someday finally see things happening.  Right now, our government isn’t working.  But Tom believes that we can have a government that does work and serves the people and not the bureaucrats of Lansing and Washington.  If everyone can pull together and support Tom in his bid to serve the first district by standing for us at the well of the House chamber in Congress and if we can continue to support and encourage him after winning in November, we will finally have our security and our peace of mind back.  We will no longer be enslaved and entrapped by a government that denies us our Constitutional right to pursue happiness and economic freedom for ourselves and our children.  Our longing for freedom and to be left alone will no longer be senseless dreams but reality.  That’s all we want.

The “20 for 20 Challenge” is a really cool idea and I know that it will be a good start for our district to start the process of renewal and re-birth.  To take this challenge, send an e-mail with your contact information to greywolfnano@hotmail.com and write “20 for 20″ in the subject heading and someone will be happy to get you started.  The First Congressional District and the state of Michigan needs a brilliant and dedicated Congress.  And Congress needs Casperson.
