Obama Not Fit To SERVE!
October 9th, 2008 by John NiemelaOn November 4, 2008 we have an important decision to make when we go to the polls to select our next President of the United States. If you are like me (and many of my conservative friends) I believe that John McCain has the experience and record to serve this country as President. And Barak Obama does NOT!
There are many reasons why we should be concerned about Obama’s background and judgment that I want to share with you. I have been contemplating these reasons for awhile now and have been waiting to see if the “Main Street Media” would start asking some of these questions. But as you guessed, they have ignored each one of them.
I would also like to note that this is my (John Niemela) opinion and not any official position of the Houghton County Republicans. or the First District GOP!
Obama keeps trying to get us to believe that he is an agent for “Change”, but he has no record of any accomplishments in this regard. There is no record, either in his Illinois Senate career or as a US Senator that he has challenged any positions of the Dems to side with Republicans to get any bill or position passed. If he could accomplish any bipartisan agreements we would see evidence of that in his past record. Who does he think he is to be able to get Washington to change when he has not be successful in bringing any “Change” to date? You can look at John McCain’s record and see example after example where he has reached across the “Isle” to the ire sometimes of our Republican party to get legislation passed with this bipartisan support.
Obama has a “History” of questionable associations. William Ayers, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Father Fleger, just to name a few.
Obama, the media and the “Left” will have you believe that it is inconsequential that Obama had or has contact with these individuals, but I would STRONGLY Disagree. Let me tell you why:
William Ayers, with the Weather Underground, is a “Home Grown Terrorist” that bombed the FBI, Police Departments and other buildings who after Sept 11 2001 wished that he did “more”. Listening to Obama, he says that this was done when he was just 8 years old or that he barley knew Ayers, even though Obama lived in the same neighborhood and served on a couple “boards” with him.
The “Left” defends this position by saying that at least Ayers did not “kill” anyone or that he never was convicted of any crime. These reasons do not change one fact of what he (Ayers) did. So what does that matter to us today?
1. Obama was recruited by Ayers to run his organization to fund radical movements with funds that Ayers secured for his foundation. We are to believe that there is no record or board minutes to show a close association between Ayers and Obama. I personally formed a non-profit organization a number of years ago and worked with a Board of Directors. Not every conversation I had with my board members are recorded in Meeting Minutes. So just because there are no written documentation of these conversations, lunches, dinners or planning sessions does not PROVE there wasn’t or isn’t a close association or relationship. Additionally with Obama disbursing millions of dollars of funds to community organizations to carry out Ayers radical ideology, they would have had many conversations during this time. Obama would have HAD to KNOWN and SUPPORTED the philosophy of Ayers, despite his assertions that their contact was minimal, to fulfill Ayers’ wishes.
2. Some media organizations try to tell us that Ayers’ and Obama’s children went to school together. GIVE ME A BREAK! Ayers children are in the 20’s and Obama’s are in grade school. How could they go to school together?
For 20 years, Obama attended the church were Rev Wright served as Pastor. He was the “Spiritual Mentor” of Obama. We all heard the “Radical and Racists” views of Rev. Wright but if we are to believe Obama’s word, he was never at church when Rev Wright made any of these statements. I DO NOT and WILL NOT BELIEVE Obama on this matter. Why?
1. If Obama is a committed and devoted Christian as he claims, he would have attended church services on a regular basis over the years. With Rev. Wright supporting and espousing this “Black Liberation Theology”, as evident from the media clips we have heard, Obama would have either heard Rev. Wright preach these messages directly or at least from other members of the church congregation. For Obama to say that he was appalled to hear this message is a far stretch of belief because I heard the membership of the Church “whole-heartedly approve” when Rev. Wright made these remarks. For Obama to be “appalled” when everyone else was “Jumping to their Feet, Clapping and Shouting in agreement” how could Obama and his family feel “Comfortable” attending this church for all of those years?
2. These messages were part of the Tapes or CD’s made available to members of Holy Trinity Church and to the public. The church I attend regularly records sermons by my Pastor. I have had people talk to me about messages my Pastor has preached that they heard from our Tapes of CD’s and I would believe that the same conversations could have been brought to Obama’s attention over the years.
3. For us to believe that Obama “left” this church and disavowed Rev. Wright over these messages stretches our belief. It became ‘necessary” for Obama to distance himself because of the attention to Wright’s “Message” now that Obama was running for President.
When you look at Obama’s voting record while in the Illinois Senate, he refused to declare his vote for any difficult issues and voted “Present” (without supporting or opposing the bills before him). When he tells us he will support certain issues NOW, are we to “Take him at his word”? I don’t think so!
Today, he tries to tell us he will not raise taxes on “Middle Class Families” but only the “RICH”. How does he explain why he voted three times last year on bills that would have raised taxes on people making just $42,000 per year? How can he claim that he is “Pro-Life” when he would not support a bill that would have required medical personnel to provide “life saving measures” to a baby that survived an abortion procedure and was “alive and breathing”? I thought the “extreme Left” claimed that life began when the baby was out of the womb and breathing on its own! Not at the moment of “conception” as we who are “Truly Pro-Life” believe!
Today, he claims that he would have people in his administration meet with “Radical World Leaders” to open lines of communication for diplomacy. He and his “spin doctors” deny that he ever claimed that he would personally sit down with these same leaders without any prearranged negotiations. I heard him in the Democrat debates answer the question, “Would you be willing to meet separately, without precondition, during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea?…..” and he answered, “I would”
There are so many other questions that need to be answered but Obama is refusing to provide the answers or others are refusing to provide information to questions, How did he fund his College Education? What was his “thesis”? Why do “radical Muslim’s support him for President? ….
It is hard to believe that one of the Presidential choices we have today has the LEAST experience of all candidates in American History! We are facing some of the most crucial times in our History and we can not take a chance on an UNPROVEN leader.
I urge you to VOTE for Senator John McCain for President on November 4, 2008. He and Governor Sarah Palin will bring their HISTORY and EXPERIENCE of being CHANGE Agents to Washington.
